WHAT IS A FLUFFY FRENCH BULLDOG?

Fluffy French Bulldogs are 100% purebred pedigree French Bulldogs that carry the rare, autosomal recessive longhair gene known as the Fibroblast Growth Factor. This allows them to possess all the same characteristics that make French bulldogs popular—they’re affectionate, sociable, quiet, and intelligent—while having a unique furry appearance to their coat.

French Bulldogs usually have short, straight, rough hair but did you know you also get a Fluffy Frenchie? These dogs are similar to the French Bulldog you know and love, they just have a longer coat.

Fluffy French Bulldogs look exactly like regular Frenchies, except for the coat. These long-haired Frenchies have fur that is slightly longer than the typical French Bulldog coat.

The coat of these dogs isn’t curly like the Poodle or luscious and long the Lhasa Apso, it is actually of a medium length.

If you’re dreaming of a French Bulldog with beautiful curls or floor-length waves, then you’re going to be disappointed.

Just like their short-haired counterparts, the Fluffy Frenchie has a sturdy, compact little body. These dogs stand between 11 and 13 inches (28 and 33 cm) tall and weigh between 16 and 24 pounds (7 and 11kg) as females or 20 and 28 pounds (9 and 13 kg) as males.

They have large, square-shaped heads with dark eyes. They also have the characteristic bat ears of the Frenchie breed which stand erect on the top of their head. The short tail is set low to the ground and can either be straight or screwed up like that of a pig.
